Random road trip. [semi-fail(ed)]

Last week my very good friend Chris came to visit me at work and somehow out of that visit the idea of road tripping to so-cal came about. Since he only has a few weeks left of summer it seemed like the perfect timing to take a little vacation and get away for a bit.

Day 1
Well the trip just got off on the wrong foot. We left later than planned and 20 minutes into the trip we almost got into an accident. We managed to make down to Oceanside when the driver next to us started flagging us down because the car started overheating. To make the story short. The porche's water pump broke and all the coolant leaked out. We went to an autozone and the worker recommended this "shop" to us. We find out its not even a real shop, its at some dude's house. Tell you the truth I was scared cause this neighborhood is sketchy and there were a few of them just hangin' around. We managed to get out of there and be towed to San Diego since it was just 30 miles away. But even the tow tuck driver had me worried.

Eventually, we made it to San Diego and break the bad news to our friends. Then we find out that some of them are actually leaving for Las Vegas the next day. wtf? They thought we were coming next week. So we ended up just hanging out and ended our day with this. I also knocked out around 7pm when I got too relaxed.
Day 2
Dinner was good. But breakfast was even better. Cant really beat waking up to this.

Chris got his car back but he spent about a thousand dollars to get his car fixed. Sucks major balls. He was in a pretty crappy mood for the rest of the trip. To make him feel a little better we got some wingstop for dinner, bowling, and top it off went drinking with some friends.

Day 3
Sushi for breakfast.

Said our goodbyes and headed to LA. That drive was only suppose to take 2 hours but it ended up being 4. Suppose to go shopping but didnt do that. LA was pretty cool though. Nice weather, good looking people, cool stores, and the usual Rolls Royces, Bentleys, Lamborghinis, etc.

Sums up part of the trip.
Later in the night hung out with some of Chris' college friends. Americana then to a hipster bar. haha. Had some pretty good laughs with some really good company.
Even though the trip didnt turn out like we expected it to be with all the car problems, money wasted, poor planning, and stupid LA traffic. To be honest I had a really good time (even though I slept through most of it). We didnt have to go to anywhere fancy or do anything crazy. Just seeing my friends and being able to spend some quality time is really enough, since it seems like the older we get the harder it is to do that.

Oh and I got to check out Alex's baller ass house. MTV Cribs status. He lives in the same neighborhood as Snoop Dogg. I got to take a nap there!

If this is true. I could really use a futon... Thanks. jk. haha.
