heres the original video to the previous post.
hella cute right. heres the video description.
"The original 1994 video of "The Cuppycake Song" (words and music by Judianna Castle) being recorded by the original artist (our daughter, Amy at age 3 yrs, 10 mo.) in our home studio.
Although there were many takes of the song during the session, this was the one that made it onto our BALLOONS children's CD(www.cdbaby.com/buddycastle)and the one which has generated so much interest on the internet.
Since uploading "The Cuppycake Song" to the web in 1996, it has truly taken on a life of it's own. On You Tube alone, there are currently over 3,400 videos using this song! In the last ten years we have received thousands of unsolicited comments from people of all ages across the US and many countries around the world who have been touched by this simple song and the tiny voice that sings it.
Now at last, you can see the face that goes with the voice. This should finally put to rest the false rumor that the song was sung by Strawberry Shortcake.
To read some of the many listener comments and to see additional photos of Amy, please visit us at www.cuppycake.com
Amy is 18 now and enjoys creating"

This is sick.
Close call.
On my way home from school today, I almost got hit by a car. Well, more like I ran into the car.
This is how it went...
I was making a right turn onto Tennyson and at the same time this blue civic was making a left into the same lane. We eventually ended up on the same lane parallel to each other. Im about a good 3-4 feet away from the side of his car. The car continues to speed up and I noticed that he was getting closer and closer to me, thats when i realized that he was turning into the Arco Gas Station on the corner. So basically he cut me off, if i kept going straight I would have ran right into his passenger side door, but instinct kicked in and I skidded sideways to follow the path of the car. Which apparently was not enough to prevent me from colliding with the car. I put my hand (well a fist) onto the car and braced the rest of the impact with my shoulder. The driver finally realized that he almost killed me and stopped. He asked if I was okay and after checking my self out and found that me and my bike were fine. I proceeded to bike away. But on the way I noticed that I have left a couple dents on the side of the car. Either from my handlebars hitting the car or from my hand. Im just glad that I didnt get hurt and that the impact wasnt hard, it was more of a bump.
So everyone out there. Be safe, wear a helmet, and keep on look out since anything can happen and all you drivers look out for bikers and pedestrians, you guys arent the only ones on the road.
Just remember to never get too comfortable, cause thats when things start going wrong.

I been tagged.
The rules of tagging are:
1. Post the rules on your blog
2. Write 6 random things about yourself
3. Tag 6 people at the end of your post
So here we go...
1. Im pretty damn weird. Im sure a lot of you people out there think the same. I watch grotesque videos of people being beheaded, aftermaths of car crashes, and even taking a hatchet to their genitals, but those things dont bother me. I find them entertaining. Also some things that people might not pay attention to, interest me the most. Something about being overlooked and unnoticed attracts me. I guess in a way I can relate.
2. Im always going to be a kid at heart. My Mom tells everyone that even though Im her eldest kid, Im still the youngest. This might have been the result of the way my Mom brought me up, when we were still in the P.I. I was so limited to the things that I could do: I could not have a Gameboy or even play with one, she would not teach me how to ride a bike, I had to be home before it get dark, and I had a limited time to watch tv. I guess since my Dad was already here in the US, she was really scared about me getting hurt and if I did my Dad would have been pissed. But I guess since my real childhood could have been way more enjoyable (dont get me wrong, I had hella fun) Im just trying to extend it as much as possible.
3. I LOVE spiders. Their just cool. I actually wanted to be a Zoologist when I was younger and a specialty in spiders would make me a Arachnologist. But I just couldnt see how I could live off that type of profession. I guess helping sick people sounded a lot better than looking at spiders all day. At least I can make some type of impact, even just a little. But there is a subfield of zoology in which you can be a Herpetologist. ahha. No it has nothing to do with herpes or any sexually transmitted disease. Its focuses on amphibians and reptiles. Well I guess a focus on "snakes" is kind of funny too.
4. Im a MALE nursing student. Yes, I am gaylordfocking it. Im filipino so the whole nursing things is basically automatic. Its the filipino dream in a way. Not for me though. Im doing this to be able to finish school in the alloted 4-5 year time frame. This way my parents wont have to worry about how their going to keep paying for my schooling and once I start working I can help them with bills and allow them to relax and enjoy life. They deserve that and even more.
5. I can make almost anything sound dirty. Do I need to explain more? I just have a dirty mind.
6. After 3 1/2 months of unemployment. I finally have a job. I got my old job back at Motel 6. As a receptionist/front desk. Its pretty cool and Im glad to be back. Nothing has rally changed, the desk is almost exactly the same as when I had quit the job 2 years ago. Same people still work there with a few additions. But I like it there, it has just a family atmosphere. Ohh and I get to do this while I work:
But now its time for me to tag 6 other people. So I tag... SHERRY, KENNY, JESSICA, MAIA, MAX, and FRANCIS.

Yesterday.
This is what I come across on my Tuesday/Thursday ride to school.
Turkey crossing!
Thanksgiving is coming up. Maybe I can grab one. After school me and Londre went for a ride. To Alameda Creek/Coyote Hills.
I guess it was low tide cause the water level was really low. You can see it in the second picture.
Good times. Fun ride.
Tooooooooo bright.

Chilly.
Damn I guess fall really is here. I went out riding tonight and first time I actually needed a jacket. A sweater and a jacket. I had to pull out the Northface (Thanks Chris) with a sweater underneath.
But I got to sell these babies tonight. Extra money in my pocket. One less pair sitting around in my room. and I start work on Friday. Im kinda juiced. Nothing has changed with that place, still same cool people, relaxed atmosphere, and now theres even more workers which means better scheduling.
Also Im actually taking the time and effort to sit down and listen to lectures. I dont HAVE to do it. But for some reason Im doing it. I dont know man. This feels weird, but I guess its good. It better be.

Fun. Tonight was.
Met up Archie at Yvonne's (Happy Birthday).
Rode to Sports Authority to meet up Kenny, but instead of going over the over pass Archie showed me this creepy, dark, where you get jumped and killed kind of path that goes under the 880 freeway. I definitely need to check that out during daytime. When we got to Sports Authority, Van found a butterfly. I first put it on my finger then it made it to my nose, then to my lip, then into my mouth. I have proof. I just need to ask Kenny for the pictures.
Headed back to Yvonne's and had some beers and Kenny had to go meet up Leslee. But I ended up in the room they were hotboxing and tonight I saw a tulip blunt! Like these!Hella cool. Then just hung out for the rest of the night. The had a good slow tempo'd ride home. Perfect weather, fun times with good company. Definitely a good night, I can't remember the last time I reached the "Im good" and tipsy level. But once again I'll leave you with this picture taken with my wonderful super clear quality camera phone...
Justin peed in his pants! Naw just kidding. Some drink was tipped over and whatever liquid was in there spilt all over his pants. haha.

*this* close to an A.
actually just one question away.
not bad for a weekend spent with friends.

Break.
Taking a break from studying.
And as I sit here looking through my bookmarked forums and blogs. I cant help but compare, more and more people are putting out these high quality pictures taken with their nice cameras and I look at my blog and what do I see; 2 megapixel camera-phone quality.
I cant keep track of all the bike rides, airplane flights, special events, and random happenings where I had wished that I had a nice camera. To take nice pictures, not to be conceited or overly into myself, but Im not that bad at taking them. I just want to have a way to chronicle my daily life and the things that I do without being reminded of "how much nicer this picture could have been."
I want another outlet, to get me back into the arts since I cant seem to be motivated and have no time to commit to drawing. I mean all it takes is a kneel, close one eye, a slight turn of a risk, tilt of a head, and one simple click and you have art.
I just want one so bad, I just cant afford it. Maybe I'll sell a kidney or something. But to all of you that have one. I hate you. Not really. I'm jealous that I don't have one I can call my own. It feels just like when I still had a road bike and I wanted a track one so bad. But I find myself stuck in the same situation. Lack of funds.
But enough of this poorly written post. Being a poor unemployed college nursing student sucks.

School.
Ive only had a total of 3 days of school and it feels as its been weeks. I mean Im pretty motivated this year and so far I have not fallen asleep in class which is a tremendous accomplishment for me and I have to keep my promise to my professor that this year I will actually put in effort in my work and not just enough to get by.
But man I can tell from these first few days that its going to be a long, long year. I already have a major test in 2 weeks! Just have to keep telling myself to hang in there cause everyone says it will be worth it and it will make my parents happy and proud.
Anyways, I think Im getting sick and Im sore again. Stupid jogging class. and Im addicted to tea + honey. I added lemon to that combination today. Mmmmm.
But on a good note we have a lot of international aZn students this year. Which gives me some entertainment during my hour breaks and ten minute passing periods. haha.
Im just looking sherry!
