Sleepless in Seattle.

"Destiny is something we've invented because we can't stand the fact that everything that happens is accidental."

Yellow Shoes.

For all of you that know me or have spent some time with me know that i wear my yellow shoes a lot. i love them. i have never found a pair of shoes more durable, versatile, and compatible. i can use em to do almost everything. bike, run, skate, work, etc. and the best thing about them is that they go with almost everything. but the thing is that from all the miles that ive put on this pair is slowly taking its toll. the shoes are so dirty their almost brown and at the same time the color is fading, theres a hole on the right shoe and the sole is slowly disintegrating. im scared to put them in the washer because they might fall apart. im sure itll look better than what it looks now but then again, it going to lose its "character." every single tear and stain on the shoe adds to its character. it shows where its been and what its been through. kind of like scars and wrinkles on a person.

so since i love them so much i been trying to find a replacement for them. another pair if possible. but i stumbled across this pair on ebay...
their perfect. vintage. yellow. clean. lace-ups. size 9 in womens which is 7.5 in mens. MY size. so i decide to buy em.

well they arrived at my door today. i couldnt wait to put them on. but my excitement totally faded, as i try and slip my foot into the shoe i realized that they are waaaaaayyyy too skinny and that my foot cant fit. BUMMMERRRRR. they were so nice.

ohh well. the world inst over. i just have to keep looking. their nice. ill prolly just sell them. they fit like a size 7 in vans. anybody wanna buy them? 15 dollars take it.

Can't Sleep.

Last night. i laid awake in bed for a few hours. i could not sleep. no matter how hard i tried. but then i guess the harder you try to get something the harder it is to achieve. it just became harder for me to fall asleep. then i tried thinking about things that make me happy and i ended up coming up with a list. its not necessarily a list what makes me happy because that can go on forever, but rather it was a list of things that whenever i participate in just sends me into my own little world. a brief escape from everything. a brief escape from reality.

1. Drawing.
2. Eating.
3. Bike.
4. Windows.
5. Music.
6. Driving.

Each has its own reason why it enables me to relax and just forget about everything. Ill prolly just blog about it some other time. Its getting late and i have school. Goodnight.

Whoever said friendship is easy.

Why does it have to be so difficult?

Good News for ME.

San Jose May Soon Ban Plastic Grocery Bags

CBS 5 CrimeWatch

SAN JOSE (CBS 5 / KCBS) ― Following San Francisco, London and Paris, it appears San Jose may be the next to employ a ban on plastic grocery bags.

San Jose City Councilman Kansen Chu is among those pushing for the proposal. Chu said staff has been directed to look into the best way to implement such a ban. The councilman foresees a plan that would first affect larger grocery chains.

"One million in gross sales per year, or a premises that occupies more than 10,000 square feet of footprint," Chu outlined the proposed guidelines.

Rather than banning the bags, the California Grocers Association recommends better education about what can be done to recycle or otherwise reuse plastic bags.

Councilman Chu agrees that more recycling would be a good thing, but worries that there is a larger problem with plastic grocery bags that can not be solved by recycling alone.

"The process requires considerable amounts of energy and expense," Chu pointed out.

San Francisco banned plastic grocery bags that could not be composted for larger grocery stores and pharmacies last November. Oakland has attempted to enact a similar ban, but their plans to do so are currently on hold.
